Halloween and Family Time
Well hey there! My goodness, life has been a little hectic and a little boring (if that's possible??) Jax and Izzy have been growing and changing so much! Isabel has officially said her first word "dada" and she is eating mostly solid foods now, just breastfeeding before naps/bedtime. She can roll EVERYWHERE and she is ALMOST crawling. She smiles more and more everyday and she has everone wrapped around her finger =). I am constantly amazed at the things Jax picks up... So tonight after tripping over his little stool in the kitchen for the third time (and after a very long and tiring day and night of nursing 2 sick kiddos) I flipped... I kicked the stool and turned on the mean mommy voice "this thing can't be in here anymore!" Well Jax just happened to be sitting at the kitchen counter and informed me straight away that I wasn't "being very nice" and he was "very dissapointed in me." Then he brought his stool back into the kitchen and placed it under the sink and said "mommy next time just say Jackson please move this and I will come and move it for you." Needless to say I felt pretty bad about the whole thing and appologized for my outburst and he got to walk away feeling pretty good about himself LOL. The kids have their first colds of the season and lemme tell ya, this momma's tired!
We had an awesome time at the pumpkin patch this last weeked and we came home with some pretty nice pumpkins (which still need to be carved.) I started decorating the front porch for Halloween and its looking pretty cute! I got some bats and gravestones from Michaels and I already did a crafty pom pom pumkin that I saw on pinterest. I am still planning on doing a glitter pumpkin and then carving the other two.
We haven't been able to get much work done on the house but I did order some more cute pillowcases on Etsy and some cute target canisters and I LOVE them! I am trying to bring more fun colors into the house... I am usually a beige, brown, blue girl.
Here are some pics from Pumpkin patchin...
And... her shoes didn't exactly fit...

House Tour - Isabel's Room
Here are a few shots of baby girl's room. It's still a work in progress. I really want to paint the walls a light grey and add some board and batten (gotta love the 10 million projects at a time thing.) Maybe someday all of these things will get done! =)
After we added the glider I just wasn't sure about the furniture placement but I like being able to look out the window when I rock her...I don't know what to do here? The room is TINY so my options are limited...
Have a safe weekend!

Office/Kids playroom Before
Playroom Before photos
Ok, This is my Current office - soon to be playroom for the kiddos. What I am hoping to accomplish is a striped back wall, new curtains, rug and light fixture soon. Then a fun trip to Ikea for all of the furniture in the room.
I know - sad looking =/

Office Thoughts
I have been debating turning my office (the formal dining room) into a play space for the kids. Their bedrooms are pretty small and that's really the only flex space in the house (I will be posting house pics soon.) PLUS! I really want to get them some fun pretend play things for Christmas this year like a play kitchen, work bench and a little teepee. I think I will use a blank wall we have between the dining and living areas as my new "office" and get a secretary desk. I have my eye on this one from Ikea =)
What do you think? Then I would turn that front room into a fun colorful "playroom" for the kiddos with some more stuff like this:
Throw in some fun curtains, a new light fixture and goodness I can not wait! We have some LONG winters and this room will be so nice to have so the kids aren'tcompletely tearing up the family room. I hope to have this done soon and pics up cuz, at least to me, that's the best part!! So stay tuned =)

BIG Dreams...
I am a BIG nester. It started when I was little, I used to redo my room like every couple months. My mom finally got fed up and stopped buying me new bedding and stopped putting up wallpaper since it would just have to come down within a few months =) I can't help it, it's what I love! When I walk into a Pottery Barn or Williams Sonoma I feel like a little kid at Disneyland. I have been drawing houseplans since I was old enough to draw and I am always thinking I should just go back to school and become an interior designer but it's hard with 2 little ones at home and things can already be tight at times since we are a one income family. Maybe someday...
I am also always dreaming of ways to make our house more efficient, more beautiful and just BIGGER. Our house isn't tiny but we are just beginning to outgrow it. This is our second home and we have had two beautiful babies here but we just need more space. We recently found a subdivision nearby with amazing 2 acre lots and they have just started building. So I, being the BIG dreamer that I am, have already picked the lot that I want and have already started picking out houseplans. We don't have a huge budget to work with so the house can't be too big but we know exactly what we want. Four bedrooms and a bonus room, a three car garage, some kind of office space, a bigger laundry room and a fireplace. Here are some plans that I am liking:
What do you think? We would turn the flex room in the second one into the Guest room. I love the laundry and Planning center in the second one though...They are both around 2500 sq. ft. which I think is perfect. Now we just have to figure out how to make it happen, wish me luck!

Kids Bathroom update
So the hubs and I were at Lowes today getting materials for our powder room reno when I saw this lil beauty:
The kiddos have one of those ball lighting fixtures in their bathroom and I just didn't know what I wanted to replace it with and this was perfect! So we got home and I went to work getting pics done and having Joe install it. Such a little change but I love it!
Much better!
