BIG Dreams...

I am a BIG nester.  It started when I was little, I used to redo my room like every couple months.  My mom finally got fed up and stopped buying me new bedding and stopped putting up wallpaper since it would just have to come down within a few months =) I can't help it, it's what I love! When I walk into a Pottery Barn or Williams Sonoma I feel like a little kid at Disneyland. I have been drawing houseplans since I was old enough to draw and I am always thinking I should just go back to school and become an interior designer but it's hard with 2 little ones at home and things can already be tight at times since we are a one income family.  Maybe someday...

I am also always dreaming of ways to make our house more efficient, more beautiful and just BIGGER.  Our house isn't tiny but we are just beginning to outgrow it.  This is our second home and we have had two beautiful babies here but we just need more space.  We recently found a subdivision nearby with amazing  2 acre lots and they have just started building.  So I, being the BIG dreamer that I am, have already picked the lot that I want and have already started picking out houseplans.  We don't have a huge budget to work with so the house can't be too big but we know exactly what we want.  Four bedrooms and a bonus room, a three car garage, some kind of office space, a bigger laundry room and a fireplace.  Here are some plans that I am liking:

What do you think? We would turn the flex room in the second one into the Guest room.  I love the laundry and Planning center in the second one though...They are both around 2500 sq. ft. which I think is perfect.  Now we just have to figure out how to make it happen, wish me luck!

Bad Mojo

Yesterday was just one of those bad mojo kinda days..i woke up late (like 10am!!) Yikes... I literally don't know how my kids let that happen.  Then I realized we were out of my kind of coffee and out of bagels  and I almost had a panic attack -  then I realized I had extra pepsis in the fridge, thank heavens!  I am not kidding when I say I am ADDICTED to caffeine - cue the insta headache when it's not available. So late getting dressed means late getting Jax dressed and off to daycare (he goes every Wednesday - Joe's awesome "I love you and don't want you to go crazy" gift to me).  After I dropped Jax off I realized that I had kinked my back and neck BAD the day before as the stiffness had not gone away yet and then Isabel started in with the all day crankiness.  It wasn't until the end of the day that I realized it was just bad belly stuff.  So once I got her belly feeling better she finally went to sleep at 10 pm.  There was also some family dramarama going on during the day, oh! and it was like 100 degrees all day!  I get so grumpy when I'm hot.  So, yuppers, BAD MOJO day! Here's to a new day - and a funny to get you started =)

Happy 4th!

Hey! Sorry I have been MIA fora few days.  We have been traveling and I have been without a computer =/  Anyhoo... I LOVE he 4th! Lots of awesome food, lots of family and lots of fun activities! This morning we got up and ran/walked in he annual "Run for your life!" 5k and I think I did pretty decent considering my lovely 3 yr. old decided about a quarter of he way through that he didn't want o ride his bike anymore and so he had to be carried the rest of the way and so did his bike =/ yeah not fun.  My awesome sister in law stepped in and helped me out though  (actually she carried him 90 % of the way while I pushed her double stroller.)  Yeah, she is AMAZING! Love you Manda Lou!  I think next year we might leave the kiddos with a sitter.  Afterwards, we had some awesome breakfast burritos and walked back downtown to watch the parade and kids had a blast.  Then came the BBQ's and thank goodness for nap-time!  Hope your 4th was awesome!
